Ugandan international Philip Wokorach returns to the Kabras Sugar side to play at the Christie 7s on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at RFUEA grounds.
Wokorach missed Prinsloo 7s and Sepetuka 7s as Kabras claimed a Cup win because he was involved with the Uganda 7s team.
He helped Uganda retain Africa 7s that saw them qualify for the 2018 Sevens World Cup and Commonwealth Games. Uganda also competed at the Oktoberfest 7s in Germany.
From the side that played at Prinsloo and Sepetuka 7s, Norbert Lumbwani makes way for Wokorach with Claus Shierevo coming in for Andrew Gathua. The former Blak Blad winger suffered a concussion in Eldoret.
“We welcome back Wokorach. He adds to our attack and defence and provides more options for the team. Most importantly he comes back a champion and that's what we need most, players with a championship mentality,” says Kabras head coach Charles Cardovillis.
Kabras are the Christie 7s defending champions and will kick-off the defence campaign against 9.30am against Strathmore Leos before playing MKU Thika at 12.10pm and Quins at 4.10pm.
“It’s a tough pool, just like we have had all series. We have played all the three teams before and it will be about us sticking to our game plan and executing as well as we have been,” adds Cardovillis.
