Western Bulls was on Saturday promoted back to the Kenya Cup after beating USIU 16-22 in a Championship semifinal at USIU.
Bulls were relegated to the Championship in 2017 and failed to secure promotion in 2018 after losing to Mean Machine in the semis but this time round ensured they do so at the same stage.
USIU took a 6-0 lead but Western Bulls scored a converted try through Robert Awich to go a point up at the interval. Bulls would run in two more unconverted tries- Miller Oroto and Derrick Ashiundu- to go 6-17 up.
UISU would also add 10 more to go 16-17 with 10 minutes to go to set up a thrilling end. Bulls would however have the last laugh as Miller Oroto scored the fourth and send the Kakamega based to the top tier league.
