Kisumu RFC and Western Bulls are set to meet for the first in the Kenya Cup this season on Saturday Nov 30, 2019 in Kakamega.
The two sides previously met in the Championship final with Kisumu winning 5-23 in Kakamega with both sides earning promotion back to the Kenya Cup.
Western Bulls change up to five players as Eliab Barasa, Bretty Kamadi and Jevon Okoth will not start against Kisumu.
Their meeting comes after five rounds but finds both sides at the bottom of the Kenya Cup log having won one game each in five played.
Kisumu’s win was the first to arrive beating Nondies on Nov 2 while Western Bulls’ season maiden win came two weeks ago when they came from behind to beat Kenya Harlequin 21-19 at RFUEA Grounds.
Both sides are not left fighting for relegation as early as November as they enter a tricky December with hard fixtures. Kisumu Homeboyz at home then head to Menengai Oilers before hosting Nakuru before Christmas break.
Western Bulls head to Kabras Sugar and Impala Saracens with Stanbic Mwamba in between for what will be a December to look forward to.
