Western Bulls go top, Mombasa deeps further

Western Bulls climbed to the summit of the KRU Championship after drawing 10-10 with Kisumu RFC in the fourth round on Sa Dec 8, 2018 in Kisumu.

Bulls now have 15 points ahead of Catholic Monks and USIU as the two sides- who were to play each other- saw their game fail to go past the 53rd minute. USIU led 15-0 at the time the match was abandoned. 

Kisumu RFC stay fourth behind Bulls, Monks and USIU with 12 points. Fidel Nyota scored Bulls’ only try with Derrick Ashiundu booting in five points.

Former Kenya Cup side Mombasa RFC went down yet again as they lost 23-13 to Egerton Wasps. Kevin Ledama scored the first penalty for Wasps followed by barry Opondo just before the break. Ledama would then bag his second with Ruben Mugar also scoring.

The two sides swap places in KRU Championship with Mombasa dropping to 9th.
