Wanyama, Olaba deny rape charges

Kenya 7s players Frank Wanyama and Alex Olaba have denied rape charges before Milimani chief magistrate Francis Andayi.

Wanyama and Olaba, who play for Kenya Harlequins, were arraigned in Court on Monday where they were given a sh500,000 bond with an alternative of a surety of 1m.

They are accused of raping a lady in High rise  estate in Nairobi on February 2018.

They were arrested on Friday.

The case will be heard on 15th May 2018 in Milimani. 

The two have however been handed back their passports after their lawyers, Wafula Simiyu and Ombui Ratemo, requested so that they can be in a state to be selected for national 7s and 15s duty.
