Catholic’s Max Omondi and USIU’s Eliud Mulla are in the race to win the KRU Championship top try scorer’s gong as the league heads to semis.

Omondi and Mulla have nine and eight tries respectively -as per Kenya Rugby Union data- with each set to be in action in the semis. And potentially the final.

Catholic Monks host Kisumu RFC in the first semifinal while UISU will welcome former Kenya Cup side Western Bulls whose top scorer, Derrick Ashiundu, has five tries.

In the points top scorers list, Mulla has a chance of extending the lead at top as he leads with 121. He’s closely followed by Kevin Amiani of South Coast Pirates who has 110 but his season has already ended.

Catholic’s Newton Wasike is third with 95, followed by Kisii’s Aggrey Kitoi while Elias Gitonga of Mombasa has 69.

Kisumu’s Israel Makokha, who has 49 points, can add his tally may he be on the scoresheet against Catholic Monks and potentially Championship final.
