Upper Hill school have progressed to nationals 15s rugby final with a 24-3 win over St.Mary's Yala on Friday April 13, 2018.
Upper Hill will play Menengai High in the final on Saturday with the competition set to have a new winner. It is the first time these two sides have reached a national final in the 15s format.
Kakamega High were defeated 20-16 by Menengai in the first semifinal.
With three teams set to head to East African games, the last slot will be filled by the winner of Kakamega-St.Mary's Yala, third place playoff on Saturday at 9am.
Upper Hill ran in three tries, one conversion and were also awarded a penalty try. Centres Calvin Kahindi and Clement Ashila crossed over in the first half with Kahindi getting a brace in the second half.
St.Mary's Yala's penalty was scored in the first half by Aggrey Javan in the 23rd minute and could not score any point in the second half.
