East African side Uganda Sevens is grouped in pool B of the Oktoberfest rugby 7s festival to be held in Germany from Friday, September 29, 2017.
12 national sides are set to compete at the DHL Oktoberfest 7s which is going to be the biggest rugby show Germany has ever seen welcoming HSBC World Sevens Series teams.
Uganda will play Cape Town and Vancouver 7s champions England, Argentina and hosts Germany.
World Sevens Series champions South Africa are seeded top and will play France, newly-cored Spain and Portugal who were relegated in 2016.
Pool C has back to back series champions and Olympic Gold winners Fiji, Australia, Chile and Ireland.
The inaugural DHL Oktoberfest Sevens will be held at the iconic Olympic Stadium of Munich, Germany. The 69,000 capacity stadium was the main venue for the 1972 Olympic games and also served as the home ground of Germany’s most successful soccer team Bayern Munich until 2005.
