Mean Machine make two changes from the side that defeated Egerton Wasps to the team to play MMUST in the semifinals of the KRU Championship on Saturday, Feb 13, 2021, in Kakamega.

The high profile clash will see the winner promoted to the 2021 Kenya Cup, Kenya’s top tier rugby competition meaning the stakes are high.

Tight-head Philemon Opiyo replaces Paul Ekirapa while winger Victor Shaviya is in for Adan Nyamweya with both replacements dropping to the bench.

Head Coach Ramsfield Matekwa said: "It's a really big game no doubt about that. This is a crucial game. We are ready for it having played MMUST at home and we lost by a slight margin. I believe we are going to collect a win over there."

Machine beat Egerton 37-0 to reach Championship semis while MMUST finished second to secure a home semifinal in Kakamega.

MMUST became one of the few sides to win at UoN grounds this season after beating Mean Machine 16-18. Kick-off time is 3 pm at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega County.
