MKU Thika has lost 11-0 to Technical University of Mombasa(TUM Marines) in the nationwide pre-quarters on Saturday April 28, 2018 in Mombasa.

MKU, who won the Central nationwide last weekend beating Kiambu RFC 22-14 but the win was overturned by KRU for fielding an ineligible player, needed to win the game to proceed to national nationwide quarters.

TUM Marines will now head to Masinde Muliro University for the quarterfinal.

MKU Thika head coach Peter Mutai, who did not travel to Mombasa, told Raga House that "the decision to overturn the win last weekend unsettled us. The boys actually trained only on Wednesday and Thursday. It was not well planned and only 19 players traveled to Mombasa."

Mutai described the last six days as 'the worst' in clubs' history.
