MMUST's Venice Shikuba has been handed a five-match by Kenya Rugby Union for stamping an Impala Saracens player at Dala 7s, third round of the 2019 Stanbic 7s.

"Following the Citing of a Masinde Muliro University Player who stamped on an Impala Saracens player on Day two of the Dala7s tournament held at the Mamboleo Showgrounds, the offender was given a 5 week ban that translates to 5 matches."

"The sanction is in accordance to Regulation 17 of the World Rugby Handbook and the Kenya Rugby By-Laws," said KRU.

Five weeks translate to five games at Stanbic 7s beginning with their 5th place semifinal match against Nondies. Sanction concludes on 18 August 2019 at Prinsloo 7s.

Shikuba has 48 hours from notification of the decision to lodge an appeal with the tournament director.
