After three years in the cold, St. Mary's School returned to the prestigious Prescott Cup after a walkover win over Jamhuri High on Saturday 34 June at their backyard.
Jamhuri, who received a pass to the final after a walkover from Moi Forces Academy, failed to raise a team for the final owing to mid term.
The Nick Abala coached St. Mary's on their part booked a place on Thursday after an 18-5 win over Dagoretti High.
In that semi, captain Douglas Kahuri scored a brace leading from the front with the opening and the closing try.
Andrew Simiyu , a 17yr old under 20 prop who plays at number 8 for the saints, scored the second try from a well worked out maul. He used his strength to score at the far corner to put the saints at 10-0.
Dagorreti would later respond with their only try of the tournament. Center Brian Malit added a penalty to put the hosts 18-5 up.
The Saints were last in Prescott Cup back in 2014 after which they got relegated to Damu Pevu.
