Sportpesa Quins target at least two wins in the remaining three legs of the National Sevens Circuit.

Quins sevens coach Joash Odhalo told the club’s official portal, quins.co.ke, they are hopeful of bagging wins as the circuit enters the homestretch.

“Prinsloo was not a great outing by our standards; we, however, went a step higher than the first two legs. We've noted a few areas we need to concentrate on especially on individual errors.

“It was good to have the national team boys back being their first tournament they did pretty well with Eden making the dream team. We have made the task harder but I believe the lads are up to the challenge and hopefully can win at least two of the remaining three legs.”

Quins lie eight after three rounds with 32 points, 19 adrift of leaders Homeboyz. At Prinsloo 7s, the Christie 7s hosts reached Cup quarters losing 22-17 to semifinalists Strathmore Leos before going down 17-12 to Kabras Sugar in the fifth place playoffs.

Director of Rugby Edward Kinyany blamed the referee for the loss to Strathmore.

“The game against Strathmore was an evenly matched affair though Strath had the upper hand in the first half. The second half was a great spectacle though the interpretation of the laws by the referee was wanting especially after he chose to end the game prematurely.”

Quins head to Sepetuka 7s this weekend where they will play Homeboyz, MKU Thika and  Mean Machine.
