Steve ‘Security’ Otieno is ruled out of the second round of the Kenya Cup between Homeboyz and Nondies due to a cut sustained in their win over Quins on match day one.
Security, as he is popularly known, will stay out for one week with head coach Paul Murunga expecting him to return on match day three when Homeboyz host Impala Saracens.
Keith Wasike starts on Saturday when Homeboyz takes on Nondies as Mohamed Omolo and Michael Wanjala are retained as the day’s half-backs.
There is a return on the bench for last season’s writer’s scrum-half of the year Kevin Masai who has been out for three weeks nursing a knee injury sustained during the floodlights.
Polycarp Odhiambo replaces Jacob Owaa at lock as the latter drops to the bench while the entire back-line is unchanged.
Haroun Lubisia, Elfas Etemesi, Stanley Isogol and Kevin Ochami make up the bench.
Last season’s second leg meeting between Homeboyz and Nondies ended 28-28 while Homeboyz won the first clash 17-5.
Going to match day two, Homeboyz sit fifth with five points as Nondies are ninth with no point.
