SA down Kenya 7s in Dubai 7s opener

South Africa scored two unanswered tries in the second half to beat Kenya 7s 17-12 in the opening match of the 2019 HSBC World Sevens Series, Dubai 7s in UAE on Thursday Dec 5.

Ryan Oosthuizen put the Blitzboks 5-0 up but Kenya 7s pulled back through Alvin Otieno and Vincent Onyala tries to lead 12-5 at the interval. 

Blitzboks would level things through Rosko Specman in the second half before talisman Seabelo Senatla took SA 17-12 up after Chris Dry had been held up but from resulting scrum to set Senatla up on the right wing.

Kenya's next match is against England on Friday at 12.26pm before playing Spain at 6.32pm. England beat Spain 36-7 in the first pool match.
