Russian side set for Christie 7s

Christie 7s hosts Kenya Harlequin have announced that Ugandan side Pirates have withdrawn from this weekend's tournament at RFUEA Grounds.

Quins announced on Thursday that the Uganda Sevens champions will be replaced by Russian side Narvskaya Zastava RC.

"Piratesrugby UG Withdraw from Christie7s and are replaced by the Russian side Narvskaya Zastava Rugby Club who are the current Russian Cup Champions, current St Petersburg Champions who will be competing in the Russian Premier League in October," tweeted Quins.

Former Kabras Sugar strength and conditioning coach Andrew Curtain, who was part of the Kenya Cup winning technical bench in 2016, is the current head coach at Narvskaya Zastava.

Narvskaya Zastava will play in pool A with Dala 7s champions and second placed Mwamba RFC, Kabras Sugar and the Mean Machine.
