Kenya Harlequin's winger Solomon Okia was named in the Ugandan squad that will play Zimbabwe -the last game of the 2018 Africa Gold Cup, Kawowo Sports reports.
Okia has not started any game in the five-match campaign doubling up as qualification for the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He replaces Nondies winger James Odong on the left wing for the match to be played at Kyadondo Rugby Ground in Kampala.
Head Coach John Duncan did not make any other change from the squad that beat Morocco 47-29 last weekend. Adrian Kasito of Betway Kobs and Arthur Mukama are named on the bench.
Both Uganda and Zimbabwe can neither qualify for the Rugby World Cup nor global repechage. Zimbabwe are fighting relegation as they have only three points from the four matches played. Morocco and Tunisia can also be relegated as they have three and four points respectively with both sides playing each.
Any defeat will see them relegated to Africa Silver Cup for 2019 edition.
