Kenya Harlequins are the Impala Floodies plate winners after beating Strathmore Leos 33-29 on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Quins trailed 17-15 at the break but returned to score 18 points in the second half as Leos scored only a converted try.

Kevin Njugi converted Eric Shikuku’s try early in the first half with David Ahawo also crossing over. Eugene Nzioka on the other side was also sure with his boot converting George Boup and Clinton Imbunye’s tries.

Njugi cancelled out Nzioka’s penalty late in the second half for a 15-17 score at the break.

Backrowers Peter Misango and Ahawo ensured Quins win Plate crossing over in the second half to complete the comeback with Pius Shiundu and Njugi adding the extras.

Walter Oteko’s try deep in the second half was however not enough for a possible Strathmore’s comeback as Isaac Adimo booted three more points to seal the win.

Kenya Harlequins plays Homeboyz in the Kenya Cup opener as Strathmore Leos hosts KCB.
