Quins sign Ugandan trio, to debut at Kabeberi 7s

Kenya Harlequins have signed Ugandan internationals Solomon Okia, Joseph Aredo and Aaron Ofoyrwoth from Buffaloes, Kobs and Heathens respectively.

Ofoyrwoth played for Uganda Cranes during the Africa Gold Cup while Okia is part of the Uganda Sevens set-up.

Quins team manager Jimmy Mnene confirmed the signing and true to his word the Ugandan trio will make their debuts this weekend during Kabeberi 7s. The three join fellow Ugandan international Ronald Musajja who has been with Quins for two seasons. 

Philip Wokorach, Ivan Kirabo (Nondies) and James Odong are other Ugandans plying their trade in the Kenya Cup.

Herman Humwa, Dan Suchi, Kelvin Angote, Jared Owingo and Stanley Lunani are named to start while Ginton Adongo, Edward Shitanda and Pius Shiundu are out.

Shiundu is out due to family commitments, Shitanda’s change is a tactable one while Adongo is ruled out for six months with a knee injury.

Quins are pooled in group B with rivals KCB, Nakuru and Kisii RFC.
