Kenya Harlequin on Thursday named a strong 13-man squad that will compete at Embu 7s on Saturday June 23 and 24, 2018 in Embu County.

Victor Sudi will coach the side in Embu with Max Theuri set to captain the squad. Quins are using the tournament to prepare for 2018 national sevens circuit that kicks-off in July.

Hlaf-back Lyle Asiligwa is among those named alongside Kenya Sevens international Frank Wanyama who is expected to lead Quins to Embu 7s title.

After a good Kenya Cup campaign, Brian Beckham will be hoping to carry his form to the Sevens version while Alex Olaba looks to continue firing in the Sevens circuit as he did at Strathmore Leos.

Edward Shitanda, Ian Onel and Hillary Barasa are other named as well as Brian Onyiegi and Douglas Kahuri.

Quins will compete in pool A alongside Homeboyz, Chuka RFC and Nairobi nationwide side Stormers.

"The team is upbeat and preparing for the upcoming 7s series under coach Sudi. It's a blend of seasoned young players hungry to make a mark. The tournament in Embu will aid the team's preparations," said Quins team manager Jimmy Mnene.
