Former Kenya Harlequin flanker Ian Waraba, 20, has passed away, the Kenya Cup side confirmed on Sunday.
Quins, through a statement released on Sunday afternoon, said: "Ian Waraba was a very grounded, dedicated, hardworking young player. We are proud he was part of the Kenya Harlequin FC family."
"He started playing for us with Quins Vandals, featured regularly for Quins ESS and was knocking on the door of the first team squad. A wonderful young man has transitioned far too soon. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, teammates."
The Kenya Cup side didn't disclose the cause of his death although Raga House understands he was in Kitale at the time of his death.
The former Kaplamai High School star joined Quins in January 2019. He was the young brother to Quins' Kenya Cup player Brian Waraba.
