Kenya Harlequin's disastrous start to the 2019/20 Kenya Cup season ended on matchday 5 as they beat Menengai Oilers 25-15 to bag their first win of the season on Saturday Nov 23, 2019 at RFUEA Grounds.
Quins had lost all four opening matches to remain the only side yet to win a game. Kenya 7s international Herman Humwa went over twice for Quins with Brighton Mwalawa also bagging a try.
Lyle Asiligwa sent in two penalties and two conversions.
As Quins bagged their first win of the season on Saturday, Homeboyz tasted their first defeat of the campaign going down 27-24 to champions KCB at KCB Sports Club, Ruaraka Nairobi.
Homeboyz led 8-14 at the interval after Bush Mwale's brace that was converted by Mohamed Omolo against KCB's try scored by Levy Amunga who also scored a penalty but KCB put in 21 unanswered points to lead 27-14.
Bush Mwale would be sent to the bin with KCB getting a penalty try to add to Jacob Ojee's brace converted by Ahmed Shaban as Homeoyz pulled one converted try back through Omolo.
KCB and Kabras Sugar remain the only unbeaten sides after the 2016 champions defeated visiting Blak Blad 57-3.
