Kenya Harlequin on Friday named Kevin Angote as the team’s captain for the 2019/20 season.

Angote takes over from flanker Peter Misango who led the team last season.

The former JKUAT Cougars star captained Quins during the national sevens circuit.

He will be deputized by David Ambunya and Herman Humwa with the latter set to be away with Kenya 7s for the better part of the season.

“It is a great honour for me to captain this great club. The club has put plenty of faith in me and my ability and I am excited at the chance to repay that.”

Others named in the captaincy group are Patrice Agunda, Wilson Kopondo, Lyle Asiligwa, Eden Agero,, Roxy Dan SUchi, Dominic Osino and Kenya U20 captain Boniface Ochieng.

Quins will kick-off the 2019/20 Kenya Cup against Homeboyz at 2pm at Jamhuri Showground before hosting KCB at RFUEA Grounds on Saturday Nov 2.
