Kenya Sevens resumed training this week ahead of this month’s third round of the 2020 HSBC World Sevens Series, Hamilton 7s in New Zealand.
Shujaa trained at Quins, Ngong Road in the first week of January ahead of next week’s camp in Nakuru.
The Paul Feeney coached side will hold a week-long camp in Nakuru between January 13 and 16 before departing for New Zealand on January 18.
The new year saw Kenya welcome back three key figures in Oscar Ouma, Sammy Oliech and Dennis Ombachi.
The trio trained with the rest of the team on Thursday morning at Quins with team manager Eric Ogweno saying they are now part of the team.
Ombachi played a number of legs last season but both Ouma and Oliech haven’t been with the team since last season but one.
Kenya 7s also expects sevens great Collins Injera to be available for selection after missing Dubai and Cape Town 7s due to injury.
The men’s event sees the hosts and current joint series leaders the All Blacks Sevens drawn with Scotland, USA and Wales in Pool A.
Fellow joint series leaders South Africa, who were victorious in Dubai, will take on Kenya, England and invitational team Japan in Pool B.
Third placed France will be looking to keep their strong run of form going as they face Ireland, Canada and Spain in Pool C, while reigning Olympic and Series champions Fiji will play Argentina, Australia and Samoa in Pool D.
