Big Wheels Oscar Ouma is happy to be back at the World Sevens Series stage after being named in the Kenya 7s squad for the upcoming legs, Los Angeles and Vancouver 7s.
Ouma, alongside Sammy Oliech, missed the entire 2018/19 campaign and the opening four legs of the 2019/20 season.
Oscar Ouma has played 207 matches at the HSBC World Sevens Series scoring 390 points from 78 tries averaging 1.88 points per match.
“It feels nice being called to represent the country,” Ouma said on Thursday at Quins.
“It’s(Kenya 7s squad for LA 7s) a blend of youth and experience guys. It’s a good squad. Once they start firing from all cylinders then everything will be good. “
“Guys are playing to their best, ability and showing what Kenya is made of.”
Kenya Sevens, who sit 11th on 26 points after four legs, are pooled with South Africa, Ireland and Canada in the Los Angeles 7s.
“There’s no easy pool in World Sevens series nowadays. It depends on how you face each opponent because every team deserves to be there so you can’t say it’s easy or hard.”
