Play maker Johnstone Olindi has joined the Kenya 7s squad ahead of Vancouver 7s, the sixth leg for the ten-part HSBC Sevens Series, set for 9-10 March, 2019 at the BC Place Stadium.
The youngster was forced to miss the just ended Las Vegas 7s due to visa complications forcing Mwamba's Daniel Taabu to hold the fort.

Prior to Las Vegas 7s, Olindi who made his debut at Dubai and had featured in Cape Town, Hamilton and Sydney 7s, was Kenya's top performer in many fronts; he was the top scorer with 64 points, the best tackler (30), the most clean breaks (10 - tied with Leonard Mugaisi), and had made the most runs (57).
But while he was away from Vegas, Vincent Onyala and Daniel Taabu reshaped the leader boards to overtake him in overall points as they moved to 77 and 70 points, respectively.
Taabu is now ahead in runs (74) as Cyprian Kuto and Onyala are tied with him on 57. Kuto as well as Onyala have since moved ahead of him in cleans breaks (11). With 29 and 28 tackles, Onyala and skipper Jacob Ojee moved to within Olindi's 30.
In Vancouver Kenya is banded in Pool B alongside Fiji, Samoa and host team Canada.
