Oilers target strong Kenya Cup start against Wanyore

Menengai Oilers will kick-off the 2019/20 Kenya Cup campaign against rivals Top Fry Nakuru on Saturday October 26 at Nakuru ASK Showground.

Oilers head coach Gibson Weru named lock Clinton Odhiambo to lead the team as they kick-off their second season in top flight rugby. 

Theophilus Lusangalu and Andrew Odero will be the half-backs on Saturday with Davis Nyaundi, who was recently named part of the Kenya 7s squad, starting at fullback. 

Moses Arara and Austin Sikutwa once again combine at midfield with the day's winger set to be Timothy Okwemba and Peter Wanja;a.

The likes of Aziz Annan, Hillary Malweyi, Antony Kibet, Abutali Wesonga, Kevin Juma, Ian Omoke and Derrick Mbaire could only settle for a place on the bench. 

Oilers and Top Fry Nakuru lastly met on Saturday Feb 16 this year with Wanyore bagging a 46-37 win at NAC.

Wanyore head coach Felix Oloo will name his matchday 23 on Friday evening.
