Menengai Oilers finished sixth in the regular 2019/20 Kenya Cup after beating Kenya Harlequin 39-13 on matchday 16 on Sat Feb 29, 2020 at Nakuru ASK Showground.

Oilers need a win or just two points but did the job to ensure no argument after the hooter. The Gibson Weru coached side finish sixth to leapfrog Nakuru, who had temporarily climbed above, to qualify for playoffs for the first time in history.

Menengai Oilers will play Homeboyz in the playoffs after the Deejayz finished third as a result of 22-22 draw with KCB. Quins finished ninth on 27 points in what has been one of the worst seasons in history.

Winner between Homeboyz and Menengai Oilers will head to KCB for Kenya Cup semis. The other playoff will be between Impala Saracens and Mwamba RFC with the winner set to play Kabras Sugar.
