Ngong bounce back, Oilers win to go top

Ngong RFC have bounced back to winning beating JKUAT Cougars 29-10 in the ninth round of the Championship to move to seventh.

They scored five tries and two conversions against two unconverted to move one place up with 16 points.

Scrum-half Dennis Momanyi converted Brian Adira and Kissinger Karun’s tries in the first half with Duke Mawa, Brian Wanyakwa and Freddie Maina added their five-pointers in the second half.

Menengai Oilers moves back to the top of the table after their 19-8 win over Egerton Wasps. They now lead with 37 points, three above second-placed Mean Machine who tasted their first defeat after going down to USIU.

Derrick Mbaire and Rodgers Audi were the tacticians of the Gibson Weru coached side who play Western Bulls on February 24.
