Topfry Nakuru will have a new captain by the timeĀ  Kenya Cup 2018/19 rolls out on 17th November, a source close to the club's management has intimated to Raga House.

Current skipper, former Kenya tighthead prop Isiah Nyariki, has not been showing up for training this pre-season, leaving the coaching unit with no choice but to relieve him of his duty.

"Nyariki has been a no-show in their (Nakuru) training since the pre-season started and they are currently searching for his replacement."

Don Alouch, who deputized Nyariki, Edwins Makori, from whom Nyariki took over are likely replacements should the seasoned front-row lose the captaincy; other candidates may include Geoff Ominde and Philip Awour "Kwame", sevens captain and vice captain respectively.

Nyariki was an intergral part of the Wanyore squad last season and did start in ten of their eleven Kenya Cup matches.
