There are three changes from the Top Fry Nakuru side that lost to KCB to the side to take on Blak Blad in the fifth round of the Kenya Cup on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at NAC.
Hooker Sammy Warui, lock Philip Kwame and winger Cassius Omollo are replaced by Emmanuel Mboya, Steve Wamae and Gramwel Bunyasi respectively.
Head Coach Mitch Ochola says Warui has a work commitment that has kept him out of training, Kwame had a tooth removed on Thursday and couldn’t train thus having him as a strong bench player while Omollo has a hand injury.
Nakuru are winless in their last three matches since beating Kisii RFC on the opening day of the season and a win against the Kenyatta University side is more than important as the league enters a new year. They are eighth with only five points and a defeat could see them drop further.
Martin Muita and Donald Oluoch are the day’s half-backs with Henry Ayah and Geoffrey Ominde starting from the bench that has also Brian Maina and Ignatius Gichure.
