Top Fry Nakuru has returned to a Sevens cup final for the first time since 2015 as they beat Mean Machine 5-0 at the Driftwood 7s on Sunday, September 3, 2017, in Mombasa.

Nakuru will take on Homeboyz at 4.40pm after the latter beat Menengai Oilers 10-5 in the first cup final. Nakuru, coached by former Strathmore Leos coach Mitch Ochola, won the national sevens circuit in 2015 while Homeboyz won it in 2016 as Nakuru failed to reach a single final.

Machine and Oilers will square out in the third place playoff final just before the final.

Leonard Mugaisi bagged both tries as Homeboyz beat Oilers.

Homeboyz seeks to replicate last year’s run where they reached all finals winning three.

Western Bulls will play Kisii RFC at the 13th place final, Kabras will take on Impala Saracens for a fifth place playoff as KCB and Mwamba contest the challenge trophy final.
