Blak Blad and Top Fry Nakuru secured their first wins of the season beating visiting Kisumu RFC and Kenya Harlequin respectively on matchday 4 of the 2019/20 Kenya Cup on Sat Nov 16.
Wanyore, who had lost to Menengai Oilers, KCB and Homeboyz leading up to the game, beat Kenya Harlequin 25-18 at Nakuru Athletics Club leaving Quins the only side yet to win a game in the new season.
Collins Onyango was on target at the very end for Nakuru with Monate Akuei adding the extras to secure the win. Jenkins Kipruto, John Okoth and Hannington Wabwire also scored fro Nakuru who trailed Quins 3-18 at the interval.
Brian Onyiego, Patrice Agunda's tries, Lyle Asiligwa's points saw Quins take the lead. Quins however bagged an important losing bonus point for going down with less than seven points.
For a second week in a row Quins let a strong first half lead fade away. Last week they led Western Bulls 19-0 at the interval before Bulls came back to win 19-21.
Blak Blad also waited until matchday 4 to taste their first win as they defeated Kisumu RFC 31-3 winning with a bonus in the process. Blad ran in five tries with six points from the tee as Kisumu managed just one penalty scored in the first half.
Dennis Muteithia, Kelvin Gathu, Collins Obure(2) and Stormy Dickens Odhiambo went over fro Blad who led 7-3 at the interval with Alan Ominde converting three.
