Nationwide side MKU Thika have won the second division of the Kabeberi 7s after beating hosts Mwamba II 26-10 on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at RFUEA grounds.

The Titans ran in four tries with three conversions against Mwamba's two unconverted tries.

They will take part in the first division of Prinsloo 7s after reaching the final. If Mwamba would have won, MKU Thika would still have been promoted as Mwamba cannot have two teams in the same division.

The loss came a weekend Mwamba I finished bottom in the pool failing to reach the Cup quarters and went ahead to lose 17-12 to Nakuru RFC in the Challenge trophy final.

To reach the Cup final, Mwamba II beat Comras in the semis as MKU Thika saw off Kenya Cup side Mombasa RFC in the second semi.
