MKU Nairobi have made up to four changes in the squad to take part in the inaugural Nanyuki sevens on Saturday September 10, 2016 at the Nanyuki sports club.
Stingerz will be competing in the second division of the leg where they are in pool H alongside Northern Suburbs, TUK and Nyahururu RFC. Shadrack Nyinate, Clinton Munyasa, Alvin Mugambi and Edwin Gichana all coming in for Eugene Aura, Ibrahim Mutamba, Bala Onyango and John Momanyi.
With Menengai Oilers and Makueni RFC already promoted to the division one after Nondescripts and Western Bulls withdrawal, MKU Nairobi stand a big chance of qualifying for top division of the Christuies sevens set for September 17 in Nairobi.
“We will give our best, we’ve played in all the legs and we’ve not reached the semis. That’s our aim going to Nanyuki. The boys are looking good and we are targeting a podium finish,” said captain Galaxon Mosii.
MKU Nairobi is one of the few teams to have taken part in all the second division legs since the circuit began on August 6 with the Prinsloo 7s.
