Makueni, Kisii RFC sails to Christie 7s Div II quarters

Kisii RFC and Makueni RF are early birds to sail through to the quarterfinals of the second division of Christie after winning two matches at Impala club on Saturday September 17, 2016. 

Kisii opened the tournament with a 22-5 win over Molo before outclassing Dedan Kimathi University 33-0 while Makueni RFC were 34-0 victors over Nakuru Kiti and 19-12 over Webuye RFC.

Egerton University also progressed beating Webuye 33-0 and Nakuru Kiti 17-0 and are set to play Makueni in their last pool match as Kisii takes on Nairobi based TUK. 

In the 34-0 win over Kiti, Makueni touched down through Emmanuel Kioko, Kennedy Munyao, Mohammed Adan and Hans Lumumba before returning to see off Webuye 19-12 courtesy of tries from Kilonzo and Munyao.

Kisii on the other side saw Kakamega High school prop Felix Odhiambo grab a brace against Molo with John Ochar and Rodgers Guoro also getting on target. 

Ochar and Odhiambo then grabbed a brace also against Dedan Kimathi with Lawrence Odhiambo also getting his name on the score sheet.
