University of Nairobi’s Mean Machine has withdrawn from the final leg of Kings of Rugby set for Saturday, October 7, 2017, in Maseno.

Machine will not be able to travel to Maseno because their institution was closed earlier this week over fears of violence.

“We have been barred from participation by the administration as it would imply an official status yet the University is closed indefinitely,” one of the senior players at Mean Machine told Raga House.

Machine, who won the Nairobi leg, had been grouped in pool A alongside University of Johannesburg and MMUST.

Machine will, however, honor Christie and Dala 7s.
