Championship side Mean Machine has named a 13-man team that will fly the University of Nairobi flag at the second leg of the National Sevens Circuit, the Kabeberi 7s slated for 9-10 September.
The varsity side has started strongly this year going by their display in Mombasa where they finished fourth and bagged 15 points as a result; in 2016 the white and blue shirts amassed 24 points after six legs which placed them 11th.
Eschuma will come up against their former coach John Mbai, who is now in charge of Strathmore Leos. Also in that pool is Kabras and Makueni RFC who are promoted to the top tier after clinching the Division ll cup at the Driftwood 7s.
Last year Machine lost to Western Bulls in the Shield final, they took part in the second division in 2015 but were Shield winners the year before.
