Kisii, Blak Blad relegated ahead of Prinsloo 7s

Four teams have been relegated at the Kabeberi 7s after losing the Challenge trophy quarters on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at RFUEA grounds.

Kenya Cup side Kisii RFC, Blak Blad, Makueni RFC and Daystar Falcons are all relegated and will play in the second division of Prinsloo 7s to be played in two weeks in Nakuru.

Blak Blad lost 12-19 to Nakuru RFC, Makueni RFC went down 7-0 to hosts Mwamba, Daystar Falcons lost 0-12 to Mean Machine while Kisii RFC were beaten by Catholic University 24-19. Monks trailed 12-17 to the last minute before landing a converted try to take the game to extra time where they landed the winning try.

Kisii have now been relegated two weekends in a row. 

Kabeberi 7s Division II winner will be promoted to the first division of Kabeberi 7s with hosts Nakuru RFC who will invite three more teams to be ranked 14th, 15th and 16th. The relegated teams can still be invited.
