Kenya Simbas centre Peter Kilonzo will make his first 2017 start for KCB in the National Sevens Circuit this weekend during Christie 7s on Saturday at Quins.
Kilonzo made his Simbas debut in August against Hong Kong but sustained a shoulder injury in that game but it has now been healed and cleared to play.
He returns alongside speedster Jacob Ojee and Simbas backrower Martin Owilah who missed Sepetuka 7s in Eldoret.
The Prinsloo 7s champions continue to miss Darwin Mukidza through injury as well as Samuel Asati and Stephen Keter as team manager Ronney Kangetta expects a tricky weekend at Christie 7s.
“We will approach each game one at a time and will not underrate any team in our pool. Very tricky games but we hope to finish top to give us a chance of winning the overall title if possible.”
Davies Chenge skippers KCB with Kenya Sevens captain Andrew Amonde, Arthur Owila, Ahmed Shaban, Michael Wanjala, Stafford Abeka and Michael Kimwele retaining their places. Vincent Onyala travels as the 13th player as provided by World Rugby Sevens.
KCB play Daystar at 11.50am, Blak Blad at 2.30pm and Oilers at 5.10pm.
