Kenya under 20 side will take on Impala in a warm-up match on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Impala Club.

According to a statement released by KRU, the game will be a Monday night fixture as the side prepares for the Barthes Cup set for March in Namibia.

“Monday night’s fixture is part of our preparations for next month’s Rugby Africa U20 South Championships in Windhoek, Namibia.

While the team has been training together and has played several in-house matches, the opportunity against Impala’s Kenya Cup side is an excellent one for us to test the lads under pressure, and to also try out our various combinations and tactics,” team manager Jimmy Mnene told KRU.

Kenya U20 will play hosts Madagascar in the opening match on Wednesday, March 28 with the winner set to face the winner of Namibia-Zimbabwe clash.

The winner of the South category will then duel the winner from the North category which features Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco and Ivory Coast for Africa’s sole berth at the 2018 World Rugby Junior Trophy
