Kenya Lioness completed the first assignment on their way to Rugby World Cup qualifiers with an Elgon Cup over Uganda Lady Cranes on Saturday July 13 in Kampala.
The Lioness beat Lady Cranes 35-5 to win the 2019 Elgon Cup 79-19 on aggregate after winning the first leg 44-14 in June.
Focus turns to Africa Women's 15s cup to be held in South Africa in August that will double up as 2021 Women's World Cup.
Kenya Lioness will play Madagascar on August 9 before taking on Uganda on 13 and South Africa on 17.
The winner of the Africa 15s will qualify directly to the World Cup set for New Zealand while runners up will qualify for a repechage tournament via a play-off against South America runners up.
Leah Wambui sliced through Uganda's defence to score Kenya's first after Grace Adhiambo has put the team 6-0 from the tee.
Captain Phila Olando went over for Kenya's second after good exchange at the backline with Adhiambo adding the extras to see the scoreboard read 0-18 at the interval.
Stella Wafula landed Kenya's third after the break before Olando bagged her brace between the posts to lead 0-30 after the kick.
Shebesh would score Kenya's final try but the hosts got a consolation to see the visitors bag a 5-35 win.
