Kenya Cup, ESS, Championship ready for playoffs

Kenya Rugby Union teams, Kenya Cup, ESS and Championship, head to playoffs this weekend while race for Championship qualifiers enters national quarterfinals. All teams had taken a one-week break to pave way for the Great Rift 10-aside that was won by Menengai Oilers on Sunday. 

Kenya Cup quarters will be highlighted by a Ngong road derby between Kenya Harlequin and Impala Saracens at RFUEA Grounds from 4pm. The second match will see Stanbic Mwamba head to Top Fry Nakuru also for a 4pm kick-off.

KCB and Kabras Sugar await the winners of those two matches in Kenya Cup semis set for May 11, 2019.

Eric Shirley Shield quarters will see Homeboyz host Quins II at Jamhuri Showground from 2pm as Nakuru II visits Impala II also from 2pm.

Former Kenya Cup side Western Bulls host Mombasa RFC at the Bull Ring as both teams seek a ticket to meet USIU in the Championship semis in two weeks time.

Kisumu RFC take on MMUST at Mamboleo in Kisumu in the other Championship quarterfinal. The winner of this clash will play Catholic Monks in the semis.
