Mwamba may have narrowly missed out on Driftwood Sevens title, after going down 12-7 to Nakuru RFC in the final after sudden death at Mombasa Sports Club in Sunday 26 August, but there was no denying two of their top players from taking home personal awards.

While Collins Injera was named the Most Valuable Player, Daniel Taabu ended up with the top point scorer accolade.

Injera, a Kenya sevens stalwart, as well as Taabu, both made the Driftwood dream team alongside two other Kenya Sevens regulars Andrew Amonde of KCB and Jeff Oluoch of Homeboyz.

Also in the best seven list at Driftwood are Homeboyz trio of Charles Omondi, Mark Wandeto and Johnstone Olindi.

Wandeto, the series top try scorer heading to Driftwood, missed out on the seven best list at Kabeberi. He had made the all-star list at the close of Prinsloo and Sepetuka sevens, same to his team mate Omondi.

Olindi has been consistent this season and is making it to a dream team for a third straight time after Sepetuka and Kabeberi.

Taabu is making it to the list for the second time after Sepetuka while for Injera, Amonde and Oluoch it is a first entry.
