The Kenya Rugby Union has confirmed it will be sending a side to Victoria Falls sevens taking place on Saturday March 24, 2018 in Zimbabwe.
A statement titled “Kenya confirms Victoria Falls 7s participation” said Kenya is among eight teams confirmed for the Victoria Falls Sevens taking place on 24th and 25th March in the resort town of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
With Kenya Sevens participating in the HSBC World Sevens Series, young players and those who have not played a lot this season are expected to be sent to Zimbabwe.
Nine countries are expected to participate at the tournament and these are Uganda, Zambia, Swaziland, Morocco and Senegal, Kenya and Zimbabwe, while France and Hong Kong have been invited.
Zimbabwe believes it’a players will give it their best shot, as they will battle for a place in the final squad to travel for the Hong Kong Sevens in early April.
The team will then travel to San Francisco for the World Cup in July.
