Kenya 7s may have finished joint last at London 7s in falling out at the 13th place semi alongside Spain but there was no denying Jeff Oluoch of Homeboyz from earning a top rating on Sunday 26 May, 2019.
At the end of the event Oluoch was ranked fourth in the DHL Impact Player of the tournament with 43 points accumulated from six tackles, four breaks, 25 carries and eight offloads.
Oluoch's 43 points saw him lead the Performance Tracker by six points heading into the final set of games but with Kenya missing out on the 13th placed final, after going down 26-7 to Japan, he ultimately missed out on the crown.
He was top of the charts after the first round of games on Saturday with 13 points and stayed the course all through to Sunday to be placed fourth.
Aminiasi Tuimaba of Fiji won it with 47 points as his team mate Vilimoni Botitu and Australia's Maurice Longbottom came in joint second with 45 points apiece. JP Barraque of France, Martin Iosefo from USA and Terry Kennedy of Ireland all finished behind Oluoch with 41, 40 and 39 points, in that order.
On 7 April 2019, Oluoch was named the DHL Impact Player at the close of Hong Kong 7s with 52 points gained from 26 carries, seven offloads, six breaks and 13 tackles.
