Kenya 7s head coach Paul Feeney retained the 12 man squad that secured Olympic qualification for Dubai 7s and Cape Town 7s.
Kabras Sugar forward Dan Sikuta is the only addition to the squad.
Team captain Andrew Amonde said, “Our main focus is to get it right from the beginning. We are looking forward to a good tournament.”
Feeney also gave an update on Kenya’s record try scorer Collins Injera who will miss out on these two legs as he continues with his recovery from a shoulder injury sustained at last month’s Tusker Safari Sevens, saying, “Collins is about 85% fit. He is doing all the non-contact training. We are not going to risk him for the first two legs.”
Shujaa will kick off their Pool D fixtures at the Dubai Sevens with a clash against South Africa at 6.54pm EAT on Thursday 5 December before resuming action on Friday 6 December with clashes against England at 12.26pm and Spain at 6.32pm.
