Four more Kenya Sevens players have joined Kenya Simbas who are preparing for the forthcoming repechage tournament -last chance qualification for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
The four are backrower Andrew Amonde(KCB), Utility Dennis Ombachi(Nondies), winger Nelson Oyoo(Top Fry Nakuru) and half-back Sammy Oliech(Impala Saracens).
Both Amonde and Ombachi attended Wednesday's gym session along Ngong road with Oyoo and Oliech set to link with the squad by the next session.
"We looked at some specific positions where we thought they could be useful reinforcements so that's basically why they are here," assistant coach Dominique Habimana told Raga House.
The four link up with fellow Kenya Sevens international Willy Ambaka who joined the Simbas immediately after the World Cup and has already scored four tries -two against Tunisia and two against Namibia.
Kenya Simbas head to France for the four-team repechage that will start on Sunday November 11 with Kenya playing Canada. The rest of the matches will Kenya play Hong Kong and Germany.
Their call to the Simbas is definitely something Kenya 7s coach Innocent Simiyu will be sweating over as all five of them are key members of Shujaa.
May all be selected for the trip to France, Kenya 7s will have to compete at Dubai 7s without them as the HSBC World Series kicks-off on November 30.
