Kenya 7s provisional squad for 2020 season named

The Kenya Sevens technical team has named a 24-man squad ahead of the 2019 Safari7s tournament taking place on the 18th to 20th October at the RFUEA Grounds.

Stanbic 7s Impressers Timothy Mmasi Of MMUST, Davis Nyaudi of Oilers, Joel Inzuga of Mwamba, Ian Mabwa Of Nondies, Monate Akuei of Nakuru, Geoff Okwatch of KCB and Mike Okello of Mwamba make the squad.

Those not named include Oscar Ouma, Samuel Oliech and Dennis Ombachi.

A number of those who played last season eg Shadon Munoko, Mark Wandeto, Eliakim Kichoi, Cyprian Kuto and Brian Wahinya do not make the squad. 

The team has been in session for the last two months preparing for the tournament under the tutelage of Kevin Wambua. 

A fortnight ago, KRU appointed Paul Feeney to take charge of this team as the Technical Director. “We have made some great improvements on our structures, we’re working hard on our strengths as well as our individual skills. I believe we are on target on putting out a great show during the Safari sevens,” says Feeney.
