Kenya Cup defending champions KCB are on a week-long camp in Nairobi ahead of the playoffs as they seek a fourth title in a row.
KCB entered Camp on Monday with Kenya Cup and Eric Shirley Shield (ESS) players in attendance. They’ve been having pitch and in-door sessions through out the week.
Team Manager Philip Wamae confirmed Kenya Sevens players Andrew Amonde, Vincent Onyala and Jacob Ojee will join the camp on Thursday after jetting back on Tuesday from Vancouver 7s, Canada.
“We are preparing for the playoffs and reflecting on how the season has been for our two teams. We qualified for both Kenya Cup and ESS semis.”
“We have all our coaches here and a guest coach in the different venues we’ve been.”
KCB are set to play winner between Homeboyz and Menengai Oilers in Kenya Cup semis with Kabras Sugar awaiting either Mwamba or Impala.
KCB II will learn their semifinal guest after this weekend’s playoffs. Oilers II play Mwamba II and Homeboyz II take on Impala II.
Wamae confirmed KCB will be without Kenyan international Oliver Mang'eni for the rest of the season after the Lock fractured his hand in the final game of the season against Homeboyz.
